I couldn't turn the car off because the key absolutely wouldn't turn. After running for three hours in my driveway we got a hold of a shop on the other side of the country and they said to turn the key backwards and let it spring back and then quickly turn it off. They said that would only work about 3 times so get it to the dealership ASAP. The dealership had to send my ignition and keys to GERMANY to rebuild a new one. Two weeks and $750 later, I got my car back. But they said they two of the switches they took off their shelf were also bad when they tried to install them. GIANT pain in the neck. Add this to the Diesel-Gate issues and this car is a POS.
