So basically VW blamed me for short drives causing condensation in the engine but the fluids all froze and blew my power steering pump, brake cylinder , vacuum pump, and almost cause the engine to burn out due to the frozen block of ice blocking the oil pump. it took me 2 years to get VW to fix all the parts. my car had zero power steering while running and they kept telling me its normal. eventually i harassed them enough to replace it and they replaced the vacuum pump 3 times before it evened out as the cold kept blowing the seal and causing it to leak oil.
The main issues that started after this was the oil pressure light constantly lighting up on start and during normal operation the engine will bog out and then stall once stopped and cause a engine light to come on.
The issue was corrected by dropping the oil pan removing the oil and water(ice) replacing the filter (will be squeezed due to pressure) and replacing the oil driven vacuum pump. In my case it also required the throttle body being replaced. also the power steering required replacement due to the fluid having poor quality.
This all said never buy a used VW or have service done at OWASCO in Oshawa and Whitby as their service center is a joke especially since i requested all the fluids be changed before I bought the car.
