I helped my son buy this VW Jetta in November 22, 2017 and there were problems from day one of purchase.
First it died on my son while driving to work one morning. He was on the freeway. Very dangerous. He just kept having problems. Some days it would not start. He took it back to the dealer and they informed him they fixed it. But In November 2020 the car just quit running. So we had it towed to the dealer and they informed us it would take $3000.00 to fix it. No way - we had trouble with this car day one.
It is at the dealers just sitting in the their parking lot. Why would anyone pay for a car such as this when it never ran from day one of purchase? I emailed a letter to Car Max about this problem but no response. I was told there is a lawsuit for this particular car. I was told the Jetta is the worse car you could purchase and we did not know this. Car Max should have checked the car with care, and should never sold it to anyone. This has been a nightmare.
Update from Jul 28, 2021: The VW Jetta was auctioned off. The dealer made some money thru the auction, I'm still paying on the remaining amount, which is wrong. I do not have the car. This is not right and I will continue to complain until you drop the payment issue. You will never get my business again and I'm sure you don't care because it is obvious you don't care.
Update from Aug 12, 2021: You need to review the law suites for VW Jettta. It is a piece of junk. I should not be paying on this car any
longer. I so tired of this situation. I'm not even receiving statements or receipt on the payments. I'm so disgusted with this whole ordeal.
