CarComplaints.com Notes: Digging through the long list of NHTSA complaints about a sudden loss of engine power and the high pressure fuel pump failing, it's never good to come across the "my car (with a cold engine) set itself on fire in the middle of the night" complaint.

Driving on the highway at 65 MPH and the EPC light comes on - car slows to 25 MPH. Once I get to safety, turn the car off for about 10 to 15 minutes, then turn it on again, the EPC light is off and it runs normal again - until the next time. Had it to the dealer and they say the code that it is throwing is a miscellaneous code and have no solution for us. Very dangerous when you are driving 65 or 70 MPH and suddenly your car drops to 25!! Very frustrating!
