CarComplaints.com Notes: Digging through the long list of NHTSA complaints about a sudden loss of engine power and the high pressure fuel pump failing, it's never good to come across the "my car (with a cold engine) set itself on fire in the middle of the night" complaint.

This was bought in April 2011, so at only 2.5 years and the intercooler fan stops and I have no power, can't go over 70 km/h. It cost 2 000 $ to repair, I place a complaint to Volkswagen, but I wait for answer. The service Volkswagen told me Volkswagen modified the intercooler because they had too many problems, but they don't want to change mine as a recall.
