CarComplaints.com Notes: Digging through the long list of NHTSA complaints about a sudden loss of engine power and the high pressure fuel pump failing, it's never good to come across the "my car (with a cold engine) set itself on fire in the middle of the night" complaint.

I bought a manual transmission TDI so I could not have to worry about transmission costs with an automatic. Well, the clutch master cylinder amazingly made it all the way to 80,000 miles before stranding me.
I guess it could have been worse...not sure how for a car that is falling apart almost daily lately?
Very disappointed. My last Jetta went over 340,000 miles. I thought this one would last forever.
I will have spent $3,700 on repairs in the last month on this car.
Beware!
