CarComplaints.com Notes: Digging through the long list of NHTSA complaints about a sudden loss of engine power and the high pressure fuel pump failing, it's never good to come across the "my car (with a cold engine) set itself on fire in the middle of the night" complaint.

I purchased this Vehicle 2011 Jetta on 06/02/14 form Easter Motor on RT40 West in Baltimore MD. The dealer showed me the Volkswagen on the lot and said we have another just like this. The car was brought to me at the close of business, the right rear door needs paint, serious brake problems. The horn stop working, now my car speakers are blown out according to Russell VW in Baltimore Md, the tires are worn out and they are mix matched. Now this was reported to BBB.
On 3-4-15 the car was painted for $3789 Russell VW. Unbelievable, that's a down payment on another VW, and Russell stated to me I can take the car home. My symbols would take about one to two days and I left the car with them. Now I was told that the recall work was fixed, now I got a letter that states that it wasn't and Russell VW has to put a part on the axle. At this point I don't trust the car or Russell Volkswagen.
I would appreciate it if someone really looked into this. I want the car replaced.
