Already experiencing premature brake wear on one of the rear brakes. Squeals when brakes are first applied then go away quickly. Dealer noticed the problem also and said "this happens to many Volkswagens and is a design flaw." The dealership also said, "you can replace the rotors and brake pads and the issue will reappear." There are many similar complaints with older Jettas.
I took my wheel off and inspected the rotor. It looks like it's wearing unevenly. didn't take the pad or caliper off to do a full inspection. Will update when I do.
