The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the rear driver side door lock failed. The contact stated that all the other door locks eventually failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the lock actuators on each door needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 95,200.
Right rear door will not open from the outside or inside. Now the left front door wont open or close from inside or outside and dealer indicates the door locks have failed and will need replaced at $475/door. The right front door has now started to not open sporadically. This has to be a manufacturer defect when 3 of the 4 door handles/locking mechanisms have now failed. This is a safety issue when you cannot enter or exit out of 3 doors of a car due to faulty locking mechanisms.
