We live in the middle of the desert.... the car belongs to my 21 year old daughter, she complained the car was not cooling off after the air was on. We had recently had the fan to the radiator fixed that was under warranty at a local automotive shop. He noticed that the fan was not turning on high when the car was running, but was when the car was shut off, it was... the car continued to overheat. So we had it put on his computer. He said that it had to do with the CPU was not telling the fan to run high and the car had to go to the dealership to be repaired (the closest VW dealership is 2 1/2 hours away).

The extended warranty will be in affect for another 1,300 miles, however, it does not cover the CPU, it covers: all alternator, dist. elect ignition, fuel pump, radiator fan, starter, wipers, wiring,... but no CPU.... this is only a 6 year old car. The reason we got it was because we thought VW was a good car!!!! Don't have $1600 to fix it, really can't be without a car for a month for them to fix it.... paying for a warranty that does not cover, what is wrong!!!!! FRUSTRATED!!!!! Any ideas???
