We never received recall notice for 09V 164. Our car had a failed right front drive shaft which fractured the transmission case on April 28,2010. We almost lost control due to the leaking trans oil. Dealer stated that the recall was performed during a service visit. This failure is exactly why VW file a safety recall with NHTSA. Now the transmission needs to be replaced due to hole in case and VW is not responding.
