For whatever reason, my low beams do not have along life span. I've had both low beams burn out on me in a month. The first one was on the drivers side, the bulb would not stay locked in the igniter and would just come out while driving. Went to the dearship to get a new one. They wanted $190 for just one!!! STUPID ASS HIDS!!!!
Went to Partsgeek.com for a new light instead. Paid $70 (much better). Thought I had that under control, so I thought. It wasn't until a week and a half later that the passenger side goes out. Turns out this time it was the igniter that went out. It got so hot, it melted and burnt the base of the HID. So now, it will cost about $175 to replace both of them.
There's something else you guys should know! The headlight assembly also has a ballast and a control unit. A control unit will go around $ 350 and a ballast will be around $250.So you could be spending up to $400ish to see at night -_-....... all for a f*cking light bulb!!!! Oh!!! and unfortunately most warranties won't cover anything for lighting issues..... just saying.
