It is a know defect on this year and model and VW plays dumb at the dealer and nothing is forth coming from VW. This is a well know problem on the 05 as it was the last Diesels that were sold in the US for quite a few years. They did away with the faulty engine when they started to sell Diesels again. VW should be held responsible for the know defect.
