I tried to insert my key into the ignition switch and couldn't do it. Had to have it towed to a VW dealer and they needed to use a paperclip along with the key just to get it in. He told me that I need a new switch nbecause this is a serious issue regarding VW and they should have recalled them. I now need to keep the key in the ignition at all times so that means it can be stolen at any time. Also I can not set the alarm because of the key still in the ignition. Why should I have to pay $600 for a new switch if it is a serious problem with VW's?
