My door doesn't lock, can't role the window down, nothing in the driver's door works. Then I have to hear the dinging going down the road, it does stop after 30 mins or so. The light stays on saying that the door is open. I ended up having to break my fuel tank door, just so I could put gas in since the button doesn't work.

This is a very disturbing and expensive issue. I cannot afford $531 to repair what should have been a recall from VW. It has affected the door, gas lock, trunk. What wasn't there a recall for this?

Had a new wire harness put into the driver door. 6 months later my door locks constantly lock and unlock themselves while driving, parked, turned on and when turned off. Security system keeps flickering the lights on and off also.

Supposedly known problem. Wiring into drivers door supposedly too short and pulls after a time. all electronics connected to drivers door disabled: can not roll down window can not open gas cap (no manual release, either) can not open trunk can not lock door can not enable security system airbag disabled
