I went to press the button on the remote to unlock the. Car, but all doors unlocked except the driver side door. I manually had to unlock car door. When I was inside I shut the door but the car kept indicating that it was opened. The window would not roll down, side mirror cannot be adjusted, cannot open trunk or pop the gas tank. Doors are sup post to auto lock at a certain speed which they no longer lock while driving. The switches on every other door are still operating properly except for speed locks. It is a safety issue because children may attempt to open car door while it is in motion. I searched online for same vehicles that have the same issue. There are several that indicate what the issue is, the wires are to short for the doors to open and close which pulls on them and will cause the connection to break leaving the door powerless.

Door locks intermittently fail to lock or unlock, either by the key fob button or door panel lock/unlock switch. I believe this is a safety issue as it may impede access to the vehicle in the event of an accident.

The outside handles of the driver's door & driver's side back passenger door do not close properly. It appears that the cylinder inside the door does not lock the handle in place so the door does not close. I have to rotate the cylinder with my fingers along with pushing the door handle into place from the outside to reset the device. There was no incident that correlates with this failure. This occurs during each use of the door. In researching, I found that some 2005 VW Jetta models were recalled for this same problem. When I spoke with the dealer, he said my VIN number did not fall under this recall.

My trunk has never closed properly from the day I drove it off the lot. I took the vehicle back within a few weeks to be repaired. They did not have the part and it took a few more weeks. When they replaced it, it still continued not to close properly. I have the old part. I also recently had an air bag default sensor come on. I have contacted them multiple times regarding this and they continue to advise that they will have to charge me a diagnosis of $97.50 and I will have to pay for a rental if this is not covered under warranty. I have continuously had problems with this service department. I have tried to drop the vehicle off and they insist that they do not have room and will not be able to get to my vehicle for several days. These are very serious hazards that could be life threatening yet they fail to recognize the importance of their customer.
