I have had my car looked at 4 times now, by 2 mechanics neither one of them has diagnosed the car to find the actual core problem, however have prompted to charge me significantly for each diagnosis.
My car initially broke down due to stuttering/stalling problems. My distributor was replaced, then it broke down again. I took it to a VW dealership in Calgary which is never to be trusted in my opinion - they ripped me off! I spent almost $1100 on diagnosis, labour costs on a new ignition coil, distributor cap and plugs, after the repair my car broke down again 2 days later.
I have since seen 2 mechanics who are friends and they have told me it is a fuel injector/pump issue and they are 100% certain of this.
My car is now a derelict piece of metal sitting on the side of the road, not sure whether to pump more money into it or buy a new vehicle.
