This car has been a piece of sh!t since DAY ONE. I will happily tell anyone if you have purchased one of these cars, you are a fool. THE FIRST DAY I HAD IT, it had to be towed back to the dealer because the starter was broken. My tape player did not work. A month later, the "fuel pressure regulator" went bad and had to be replaced. The back passenger window motor died. The check engine light STAYS on. The engine coil has been replaced FOUR TIMES in this car. Now, the cruise control, speedometer, odometer, and gas gauge are all NOT working, the front window motor is dead, and the back window has fallen off the track. The trim on the doors is falling off, shall I go on?? I have never suffered so much heartbreak and pain than I have since I purchased this piece of junk. Words can't even begin to explain it.
The cars alarm also goes off and then the car won't start until you disconnect battery and reconnect. I bought a new circuit board but the VW dealer can't program it because the computer says that all 4 doors a open even when not.
