When driving in very hot weather conditions, the car drives very well for about 200km, when it suddenly stalls. After waiting for about 10-20 minutes, it starts up again and drives for about 20-30km and stalls again. After that, it happens frequently. I replaced the fuel pump (which is situated within the petrol tank) the fuel filter, the distributor cap, the rotor and the coilpack. None of these solved the problem.
However, when the weather cools down and the sun sets, the car drives without any further problems. I live in a part of our country where it becomes very hot in summertime.
I like this vehicle very much, because it drives like a dream, with a very good air conditioner. But I am scared these days to drive long distances, with the problems that I mentioned.
I have no more solutions for this, and hopes somebody could come forward with good advice. Where I live, is no Volkswagen dealer, and the people at the local workshops, cannot help me.
Thank you.
