This car was bought about a year and half ago. Since then I have replace 3 starters, door handles, speakers, thermostat, muffler, O2 sensor, AC, headliner, the list goes on. This car is white so it's nickname is herbie (It sure has lived up to the name). The starter is right behind the engine and on top of the exhaust manifold. It seems that the heat is to much for the starter even with the heat sheild - the problem has still not been fixed.
