The contact owns a 2022 Volkswagen ID.4. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the failure had occurred three times. In addition, the contact stated on one of the two failures the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated on the third failure, the vehicle completely shut off. The contact stated that on several occasions, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. In addition, the contact stated that a battery overheated warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 5,000.
