The contact owns a 2021 Volkswagen ID.4. The command on the driver-??s, passenger-??s, and driver-??s side rear door handles opened with the application. There were no warning lights illuminated. There was an abnormal clicking noise when the vehicle was driven at high speeds. The contact called the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the door handles needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts being on backorder. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle could be repaired out-of-pocket and to then seek reimbursement. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V312000 (Structure). The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
