keyless entry failure

Car was about a month old when I couldn't get into my car. I touched the keyless entry area but it would not open the car door. I used the fob and pressed the 'unlock' feature and after pressing it about 20 times, it finally unlocked. Then the warning popped up on the dash "Keyless Access is faulty". After driving it for 5 minutes, the dash warning would disappear. The next time I entered / exited the car it worked fine.

It reappeared the next day and the car went to the dealer for inspection. They could not reproduce the fault. I drove the car for the next 2 months and took images of every single time it would lock me out - and display the fault. For some reason that fault did not log into the car's computer so when you go to the dealer it looked like it never happened.

Finally I collected my two months worth of images and sent them to the GM of the dealership. Got an appointment the next day for them to take a look at it. After two days - they said they fixed it - but as they parked the car - the Keyless Access fault' showed up again.

VW had my car for two weeks and they basically ripped the entire antenna system out and replaced it.

Since then - has not happened again.
