We have a 2015 VW Golf SportWagen TDI. The check engine light comes on, then when driving every light on the dash comes on and the vehicle goes into "limp" mode. We have had it towed to the dealership 3 times. The last time it was there was April 2019. The dealership stated that all of this came from the sunroof being clogged and it was advised it should be cleaned once a year. We had already had it cleaned out in November, 2018. So when I reminded them of this, it was as if they were doing me a favor for covering the cost of cleaning out the sunroof (and we do not park under trees, our driveway and office parking is all open areas). The last time this happened in March, the dealership stated that the clogged sunroof and caused water to run down on the sensors. Stated that they had dried them out and now everything should be fine. Fast forward to this weekend and we had a lot of rain in our area. Check engine light is back on and same issues. We have the certified pre-owned warranty but have been told it does not cover this issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
