Brought my car into the dealership because I have noticed some water, or maybe coolant, dripping from the car after I drive. Not much, but enough to have it looked at because it is still under basic warranty. I was thinking maybe a leaky thermostat housing which is common in these cars.
Turns out I get a call a couple hours later and there is a head gasket leak.... with only 25,000 miles....
Lucky I was still covered under warranty, and had a covered rental car for a week. They said that there was the head gasket leaking coolant onto the piston. Good thing this Volkswagen is a lease!
FYI, I have oil changes every 8,000 miles and kept this car in good condition with no aggressive driving.
