The alarm on the VW Golf randomly goes off after I have parked and locked the car and am walking away. It usually happens within the first minute or two. It's also quite random so it will not happen every time. The dealer has 'tried' to fix it on multiple occasions and the problem still persists. It is especially annoying when I arrive at a destination quite late at night, as the alarm going off can be quite a loud nuisance to anyone around.
The only way to prevent any chances of the alarm going off is to unlock and lock the car with key fob after I have locked it. Doing so is quite annoying as every time I lock the car, I have to remember to unlock and lock it again
The dealers after trying to fix it 2 times have now almost given up. They have told me they will contact Volkswagen Technical support to see if they can suggest the next steps.
