With the Emission Scandal with VW diesels - their offer to rectify is to offer $1000 to clients in the form of a Visa and $500 credit with VW. Since other VW diesels owners have already rec'd their rebate I started looking into it.
Let me start by saying that our family has only exclusively been driving VW models since 1995 with all our children driving only VW as well. We have purchased at least 15 VW from our local dealer since then.
We called VW Customer Care to resolve and we were told we are NOT ELIGIBLE because we purchased the car in question as part of a fleet purchase. WHAT - fleet purchase means we buy many VW and we are obviously loyal - so the loyal customers are not eligible the any rebates. The fleet purchase rebate was $750 and was given at the time of purchase - this has nothing to do with the issue at hand. So I see it as a one time buyer of VW gets the rebate but a returning customer gets absolutely nothing. We are still stuck with a car that no one wants - emission still not corrected - and value of the car is almost zero.
We went as high as possible with VW Customer Care and that is their final response - this loyal VW driver is NEVER NEVER buying a VW again!
