Traveled 10 miles, on the Freeway. At 59 miles per hour. Upon approaching the Herndon exit, on Hyway 41 Eastbound, vehicle deaccerated ok. I went to apply the vehicles Service Brake, and the pedal went to the floor. I tried again, thinking airlock, might have happened. AGAIN, the service brake pedal, went to the floor. 2013 VW Golf Vehicle was traveling @ least 48 MPH. Instead of T Boning the cross traffic, I chose to right turn, to avoid a collision. the 2013 VW Golf TDI, Vehicle slid sideways, into the east-west median. Snapping off the left front wheel, and damaging the left rear wheel. Tow Truck was called by police. I owned the car for 2 months. VW of America, has the car, for further studies.
