These TSI 2.0 engines are prone to carbon buildup after many miles, once it occurs will start to affect air intake, PCV and injectors and air fuel ratio. It happened once last year and I only changed the air intake without cleaning the carbon buildup. Then it happened this year and changed PCV, fuel pump, injectors cleaning and cleaned the carbon buildup. Now it works very well.
This is a common problem ON TSI 2.0 engines. If you own one I suggest to clean the carbon buildup after 100,000km, as a preventive measure before it gets worse and affect other equipment.
