On my way to a Thanksgiving get together, my EPC light in my car decided it was going to come on causing my car to go into limp mode. Very embarrassing. I pulled over on the highway and tried to diagnose the problem. At first I thought it was the ignition coils or spark plugs causing a misfire. I drove it all the way back home and proceeded to my evening with my family. After reading so many articles and watched countless videos on YouTube on what the problem might be, I decided to go ahead and get it diagnosed.
There is a shop across the street from where I live that is owned by a very close friend of mine who had all the tools necessary to figure out what the problem was. He ran all the tests and diagnosed my problem as " one of your fuel injectors is stuck open" I was actually happy. At least I didn't blow a head or something, he called "Firestone" to get a quote on how much the repair would cost. They said it would be about a $1200 repair, I was like "HOLY S***" since him and I are good friends he said he would do it for $250 labor, the parts were $375 for four new Injectors, bought the parts, fixed the car, paid the money, now she purrs like new. I love my friend and I love my GTI
