intake runner control flap bad
The intake runner flaps don't cause a major issue with drivability. The car did idle slightly more rough and had slightly reduced acceleration. The issue was covered under an extended warranty I purchased through the dealership when I bought the car used. The deductible was waved as well because they had to replace the whole intake (at least that was their explanation). This is a common problem if you search the gti forums. It may affect any car with the vw/audi 2.0 turbo motor.
