- Volkswagen Timing Chain Settlement - If you are a United States or Puerto Rico resident who purchased or leased a Settlement Class Vehicle and spent money to repair a timing chain or timing chain tensioner, or repair or replace a damaged or failed engine due to failure of a timing chain or timing chain tensioner, within the applicable time/mileage parameters and prior to August 28, 2018, you may submit a claim for reimbursement of those out-of-pocket expenses. To verify if your vehicle is a Settlement Class Vehicle included in the database, please utilize the VIN Lookup Tool. To receive reimbursement, you must submit the completed Claim Form with necessary documentation to the Claim Administrator by 11:59 p.m. PST on January 25, 2019 if filing online, or postmarked by January 25, 2019 if filing by mail.
