I got a warning that my tire pressure was too low. 2-3 days later I got another message that said service needed. I assumed it was for my tires still. About 2 days after that, when I started the car it made a strange sound. The sound went away after a few seconds. I took the car to the VW dealer I bought the car from and told him the problem. After waiting about 45 minutes he came back and told me my engine had NO OIL IN IT!!!!. How could that be? I have ONLY taken the car for service to your garage and 1 other VW dealer. Every single time the car has been serviced, supposedly they check all fluids and top off if needed. WHY wasn't this caught!!??? I told him the check engine light NEVER came on! The oil light NEVER came on!! HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? There was never any oil under the car in my parking space. He told me I had an oil leak!! I bought the car used in Sept of 2011 with 23194 miles on it. It now has 32584 miles on it. That's not a lot of miles in my opinion. SOOOO, I ask what I should do. He tells me to either get rid of the car or get a new engine. He can't say how long the car will continue to run. He'll put oil back in the car and have me come in every 3 months to check the oil. AND he took $10 off the bill!!Instead of $85 it was $75!! What a guy HUH! So the next day I take the car to the other VW dealer and tell him every thing that happened. He checks the car out and says he can't find anything wrong. He doesn't see an oil leak!! Who do I believe?
