The airbag light went off in the instrument cluster. I hear what sounds like a disconnected cable rubbing against the steering wheel whenever I try to make a turn. All buttons in the steering wheel are non functional after the incident. Really concerned if the airbag won-??t deploy and cause fatal or deadly injuries in case of crash. I don-??t feel safe driving it in this condition.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the rack and pinon needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but there was an abnormal rattling noise detected. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer where it was diagnosed that the motor mount bolt had detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
