While driving (especially on the high way), you suddenly get a high pitched alarm on the dash console and an indication of a flat tire. First time it happened, almost went into a panic. Pulled over by the shoulder and walked around the vehicle to look for the flat tire but they were all OK. The instrument panel shows one of the tire sensors reading blank and the computer interprets that as a flat. A few moments later, the reading returns and the flat tire indication goes away. Quite scary especially when you get the alarm on the highway at night.
I have since taken it to the dealership but the alarm wasn't active at the time and they claimed the diagnostics picked up nothing. The issue is now ever so frequent but I have never had it on for the dealership to identify the problem. One would think changing the sensor should solve the problem but the issue recently moved from one tire to another.
