My son bought this car with 144,000 miles for $4,500 after having a mechanic inspect it. 10 days later he came out from work to go home and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. The oil which was fine 10 days earlier had disappeared with no warning about low oil pressure or anything else. The timing chain jumped the gears, the valves are now bent and the engine is junk. To have someone replace the engine will cost me $3,500. I am now looking for someone to buy it for parts.
I was warned to not buy a Volkswagen and I should have listened. DON'T BUY A VOLKSWAGEN! COMPLETE JUNK!
