Engine cut off while driving. Luckily it wasn't a busy street. Still scary as I had kids in the back seat. Got towed to dealership and they replaced fuel pump.

Engine cut off while driving at 80mph during rush hour on a busiest freeway in Orlando; on an overpass with no shoulder or close by exit. I was driving in the middle lane when engine suddenly cut off and the car started coasting and eventually stopped. I was praying not to get hit by the fast rush hour traffic. Very scary experience. I was able to restart the car and took the first exit. After i turned off the car, it never started again and I had it towed to my trusted car mechanics. They were shocked how much gunk there was on the fuel injectors and they replaced those. Can't remember what else was done, car runs fine now but I'm afraid it will happen again, since I had a similar experience the prior year (2016)

Luckily the first time the engine cut off it was in a small neighborhood street and I had it towed to dealership where they told me its my fuel pump and they replaced it at the cost of $700.00. It's obvious now to me that the problem has not been fixed permanently and it scares me do drive on busy streets. I received a recall notice but there's no plan to timeline when I can get that fixed yet. Frustrating and scary. VW get it done!

Engine shuts off while driving at any speed, city streets and highways. Currently there is an active recall for this same issue. I feel lucky we fixed it before any accidents happened, tho very expensive.

I have two more payments and I will be finished paying for this car that I'm beginning to be scared to drive. About three weeks ago I got my oil changed in the car, I went and filled up the car, a couple days later and the car all of a sudden cut off, it started but cut off again. I went to the store and brought a gas treatment and put it in and the car started working fine, so I thought.

On 12/4/15 I was in a busy intersection and the car just cut off, by the grace of God I was able to coast to get out the middle of the intersection and the car shut off. After about five minutes it started again. I was able to make it home but I was scared the whole drive home. Well today I went to start the car and it cranked up but cut right off, I was able to get it started but I'm scared as hell to drive it.

I have had a lot of problems with the car and I was looking forward to not having a car note anymore, but goodness, I may have to get another car!

Can you imagine driving on the freeway in Los Angeles and all of a sudden your car starts loosing acceleration @ 80 miles/hr......I had it towed because with engine light on I did not want to damage it further. The code reading was P2293 indicating Low Fuel Pressure regulator.

Now I know that this problem is consistent with the CCs, sooner or later there are going to be fatalities linked to this issue.

Purchased the vehicle less than 3 years ago. Engine light came on while driving up a hill in my town. Car suddenly cut off. My husband put oil in the vehicle drove it home and park in front of the house. After a couple of days I went to turn it on to drive my son to work. The CAR doesn't start.

I had it taken to the VW Dealer in our area. They had the car for the entire day to come back and tell us that they couldn't fine the problem after 1 hour of diagnosing it, they will need another 4-5 hours @ $100 a pop. For them to be VW specialist and connecting it to the DX machine it should tell them what the HELL is wrong with the vehicle. I had extended warranty on the vehicle up to 100k. We purchased the vehicle with 55k, we've only put 49K on the vehicle and still owe the bank on a vehicle that is park in front of my house. The dealer basically said we might need a new engine. VW has abused the customers/client who have purchased the Piece of Crap Vehicle.

We all have to get together to get something done about what they know about the CC and have not give us the truth, that there is a PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE AND THE ELECTRICAL ON THIS DAMN VEHICLE. WE ARE SCREWED WITH THE VEHICLE. I ALSO GOT ON THE PHONE WITH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH US ON GETTING THE VEHICLE FIXED. DO NOT PURCHASE VW CC, CAN SOMEONE HELP ON GETTING ANSWERS OF THE PROBLEM THEY HAVE HAD WITH THIS VEHICLE.

engine stalls/dies while driving

I purchased this vehicle 4/09 brand new, my very first new car loved so much. It's polished, maintained, records are all up to date, garage kept, if it rains I wipe it down after I drive, (ex firefighter) I can understand the usual wear and tear of the tires and brakes, But the entire fuel system failing????? All components of the fuel system has failed, I can even understand a sensor here and there but the entire fuel system failure at the same time? I got the car diagnosed and the mechanic came back with several P codes because the car kept stalling at critical times during operations Highway ramps, traffic control signals, low speed traveling or city driving although most of the miles were achieved all during highway travel.

The P codes are as follows P3043:Fuel Pump Mechanical Malfunction,P0087 Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low,

P 3044 Fuel Pump Short Circuit electrical fuel pump in the fuel tank is faulty, Can anyone help me say RECALL???????
