My new VW beetle can not be driven in the winter. When it is below o degrees the window freezes. Since it is a frameless window the window goes down an inch every time you unlock the car. When it's cold out the window will not go down. If the window will not go down there is no way to get into the car. I have to climb through the trunk. There is no fix, it is common problem. VW stated it is a summer car. I have heated seats & the car is sold in Canada????? I had to carry an old credit card to go around the edges of the window as well as carry a spray bottle of rain x & deicer in my purse. I've had to replace the brakes & rotor on this car that has less than 50 000 km. The dealership told me it's because I DON"T DRIVE MY CAR ENOUGH & VW brakes need to be used or they corrode. I can not drive the car in the winter as I CAN NOT OPEN THE DOORS TO GET IN to drive it. So new brakes because the windows won't go down in the cold. I have rust around the windshield. VW has denied the paint warranty as they say I must have done this. Possibly with a car scrapper. I CAN"T DRIVE MY CAR IN THE WINTER BECAUSE THE DOOR WON'T OPEN.I HAD TO REPLACE ROOTER & BRAKES BECAUSE THE DOORS WON'T OPEN. I HAVE CORROSTION ON A CAR THAT CAN'T BE DRIVEN IN THE WINTER. VW WON'T DO ANYTHING ON THIS LEMON. I WANT THIS STORY TO GO PUBLIC. Please help to get this out there. VW Canada will do nothing. I want them to buy this lemon back. Any suggestions on how to get this story out to prevent future beetle owners from buying this car in CANADA or any where it's cold. UTUBE has many videos or beetle owners trying to get into their beetle in the winter.
