This is a huge SAFETY ISSUE! Not being able to turn off a running vehicle needs to be addressed asap! There was no warning problems that led to this that was ignored. This is a KNOWN COMMON problem. Volkswagen, you really need to take responsibility for crappy craftsmanship and do the right thing and recall this and cover the expenses associated with the repair.
I love my car but there has been too many COMMON problems that I've had to have addressed. I purchased an extended warranty that helped but should not fall on consumer. My warranty is out now and this is out of pocket. Volkswagen - do the right thing!
