AT would not engage or would lurch. Had to have it rebuilt after only 50,000 miles.

10 minutes after vehicle is warm, the vehicle starts jerking and down shifting. After reading about the problems that others have voiced their concerns on. I hope a RECALL will become the solution in correcting the problem.

This car has numerous complaints, so many that lawsuits are being filed right and left. Not only have we had the tranny problem (needs a new tranny, valve....$1700), but the windows not working, oil leak, controller box needed replacing...We bought the car for $5500 and have put another 4k into it. It's not like the old bug and VW needs to do a recall on the transmissions in these cars.
