Hi there - I've had a problem with water leaking into my car for quite a while now. Up until today I was certain it was the sunroof, which I have had the gasket replaced twice and just recently permanently sealed with polyurethane. After a couple weeks of bad storms down here in Miami, this afternoon I discovered more water inside my car. Now I've been reading that it could be anything from the door seals, windshield, drains under the cowl, etc.
I want this problem resolved ASAP. I bought this car new in 2000 and it's practically been sitting for well over a 1/3 of it's life not being used. This is due to a couple factors, but of course the main one being that nobody wants to drive a car that basically has a swamp in the rear passenger footwell most of the time.
I've spent far too much money on the sunroof, carpet cleaning/replacment (just got a new carpet 2 months ago when I sealed the sunroof). I will be taking this to VW corporate if I don't like the response I get her and will consider opening a civil law suit.
