On the 20th February 2015 I won a red 1969 VW Beetle with Barons Bruma VW in Johannesburg. On the very same day the vehicle started giving me problems and the following, drove it to church. The next day, lights were inter-failing and could also not do change down. I reported the matter to the dealer several times but never get any assistance. I decided to escalate it to VWSA and the dealer representatives came in June 2015 and the vehicle stayed with Barons Bruma VW up until November 2015.
After the vehicle was handed over, I drove it about three days and reported the matter to the dealer but there was no assistance again. I decided to escalate the matter again VWSA but their response was that they were not involved during competition and the dealer is independent so they cannot help me any more.
I am very disappointed with VWSA because they should protect VW image and deal with the matter inhand.I do not understand what was behind VW Barons Bruma in issuing this competition with not a roadworthy vehicle.
