I scheduled an appointment two weeks out and explained the problem in the remarks section, which I thought would provide a smooth service knowing which part needs attention and how the issue is non-functioning. I indicated that the memory switch would not set #1 or #2 when selected. However, the power to manually adjust both seat positions does work. I was informed that it might take a few days to diagnose the issue. I was not prepared for that kind of direction.
I then was told to call back in about a month, and maybe we can assist with the issue. I asked, does that mean that you can complete the problem on the day of the appointment? The answer was no; we still have to diagnose it and then order the part if needed. The service manager alerted me that a leased car is not available. I guess I got something right, the real meaning of the letters (VW) "very weak".
I did find a few more 2021 VW Atlas vehicles with the same issue.
