This was the start of the issues, the dealership and executive office eventually replaced the vehicle with a new one after 34 days of having the vehicle in my possession and 30 in a loaner car.
Other issues were:
1) Wind noise due to weather stripping not being applied correctly. 2) Screws holding in the headlamps weren't put in straight which Volkswagen claims is normal. 3) Rattling on right side by passenger seatbelt and door 4) Grinding metal on metal noise from I believe the right front when turning vehicle off. Per VW, they are aware of the issue and aren't sure what to do about it or how to handle yet. When I picked up the replacement vehicle that was manufactured 2 months later I was told that they corrected newer vehicles in production but aren't sure what to do with ones on the road...
Paying for a 7 passenger SUV, was in a Golf and Passat for 31 days. 2 months and 2 days from delivery of first vehicle to delivery of replacement.
