Grandland X Elite 1.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 74,000 miles

The Grandland X along with on over 90 vehicles including Peugeot and Citroën use the 1.2 PureTech engine.

It uses a Wetbelt, which it rated to last 60,000-70,000 miles but it actually slowly sheds fibers and disintegrates within 24,000 miles, if not changed it will ruin your engine by either snapping while also clogging up the Oil Sump causing oil pressure issues for the ones that don't snap.

Vauxhall are aware of the issue but have not admitted fault, many people are finding out their 30,000 mile car is just suddenly dying or needing to be replaced way sooner than hey should be, It's roughly a £800 job to fix.

Vauxhall are flipping the bill upon customer complaint but there is no guarantee they will even with a Full Vauxhall service history.
