I would push the gas pedal down and it would only rev up so high before jerking the whole car around. Limped it to the auto shop where the check engine light finally came on with the high pressure fuel pump fail code. Not a cheap repair. Access to the pump is right on top of the engine so I might try this repair myself next time. Hopefully it's just plug and play. The HP fuel pump unit is a pretty complex piece of work.
