second time EPS came on getting really mad at this car, too many complaints
Update from Nov 12, 2011: EPS light came on again but they said they could not find a problem! Got it on video again!
Update from Nov 28, 2011: EPS light still having problems! I called experience center! WOW are they ever smart!!!!! I told the lady that my EPS light was coming on (among other issues with this car) she put me on hold...... came back and said yes it is suppose to come on when you start the car ....ME: yes ma'am, it does then it goes off after a few seconds the problem is that while driving it repeatedly comes on and stays on for a few minutes.....lady: ....ok, hang on and let me check something.......( she finally comes back and says) .... I see here that the EPS warning light comes on to show you it's working and it comes on to check to make sure the power steering is in working order....... ME extremely upset: So are you telling me that while the car is in use as I am driving down the road the warning light will only come on to tell me that it is in working order and everything is ok? LADY: yes ma'am that is whats it's doing! ME: So. if the engine check light also comes on then I shouldn't worry because that's just letting me know the engine is running and everything is in working order? Lady: yes ma'am! .........OK so I found a major flaw with Toyota besides the cars a piece of *, really dont even know what to say after that!!!! I guess I get to go on my weekly trip to the mechanic again!!!!!
OK so the light came on again about 5 minutes before the starter died on me for good. not sure of the cause yet. the dealer is fixing the starter but when I asked what was going on with the EPS he said he had no clue.
