I rented a late model (I believe 2009) silver Toyota Yaris in August 2009 from alamo at the orlando fl airport (mco) location for a 2000 mile trip. I don't know the VIN. This was just before the widely reported problems with the floor mats on Toyota. I had that exact problem and had to keep pulling it back, often while driving at 70 mph. I'm an engineer and do all my own mechanical work on my own cars, so there's no mistake about this. I tried to re-attach the mat at a rest stop. It was easy to see that the mats would easily come loose as they shift around by normal movements of one's feet; and they did again. These were clearly stock mats because they were perfectly aligned to the insufficient hooks. Also, they were not stacked on other mats. Just normal stock mats with poorly designed attachments. I noticed that Toyota did not recall the Yaris, which is why I'm making sure to file this complaint. I suppose they'll wait until more people die first; likely kids in yarises.
