We received a partial recall in May 2016, and since then have been unable to use the front passenger seat. No remedy is available at this time. I think this is far too long to wait for a fix.

Takata recall : I received a recall notice from Toyota relating to an airbag issue that could result in serious injury or death. As their interim measure they recommend not operating my vehicle with a passenger in the passenger seat. I am in the process of teaching my son to drive and I only have this car. Why isn't Toyota paying for temporary transportation while they come up with a proper remedy!

I was sitting at a red light when my 2007 Toyota Yaris was rammed from behind in a rear end collision. I sustained several injuries. My air bag didn't deploy, but the air bag light came on. In addition, the seatbelts didn't work either. I suffered a comminuted fracture to my left distal clavicle, fractured L1 transverse process, and I'm having surgery to fix the problems that were caused from my face hitting the steering wheel. This happened on Oct 20, 2015 and I just found out this is a common problem with 2007 Toyota Yaris'. I can provide addition information is needed.
