The contact owns a 2021 Toyota Venza. The contact stated that on two separate occasions the front windshield cracked. The contact stated that the first time he noticed the crack was ten days after the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the windshield was replaced however, the contact stated that the second time his wife was seated on the passenger side when she noticed that the windshield started to crack. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer had taken photos of the windshield and sent them to the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened and the contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 11,500.
The contact owns a 2021 Toyota Venza. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, an unidentified part fell from the vehicle ahead and struck and cracked the windshield. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the front windshield. The contact stated that weeks later another similar event occurred. The windshield was replaced; however, the windshield was cracked by another foreign object. The dealer nor the manufacturer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10.
